Open to the public since November 3, you have the chance to visit Nabana no Sato (Garden name) until March 31, so do not wait! You can watch the sunrise over Mount Fuji in lights, or the appearance of boreal waves and to rainbows, looking up. A moment of magic to 2 hours drive from Kyoto and just over 3 hours from Tokyo.
After the snow festival in Sapporo, the Japanese are decidedly creative.
